Professional indemnity insurance<\/strong><\/p>\n

Section 51 Federal Lawyers\u2019 Act (BRAO) requires lawyers to maintain professional indemnity insurance with coverage of at least \u20ac250,000.00. In accordance with Section 51a (2) subclause 1 BRAO, the minimum coverage required of a limited liability partnership is \u20ac2.5 million for each insured event. Payments provided by the insurer for damages caused in one insurance year may be limited to the amount of minimum coverage, multiplied by the number of partners. Nonetheless, the maximum payment by the insurer must be at least four times the minimum coverage (Section 51a (2) subclause 2 and subclause 3 BRAO).<\/p>\n
